Design Philosophy

At some point I started to think critically about the knives I carried. My designs are all original and born out of the desire to elevate knives beyond just being a tool. Every effort is made to design a functional and attractive knife that blends together my ideals of aesthetics, function, and required strength. As I use these knives, test them, and receive feedback from customers, I am constantly working to improve on them, if possible.

The Overall Package

Your knife and sheath are made as a set, and in most cases, the sheaths are molded to fit each individual knife. I have given the element of sheath design thoughtful consideration. I believe this adds a very special and personal quality to a Rabuck Handmade Knife.

Sheaths on custom orders can be designed for certain options, such as: belt clip, or left or right carry.

Ordering and Payment

You may purchase any knife available in my online STORE by using your credit card via secure PayPal processing.  You may also contact me by phone to place an order by check, money order, or credit card.

The standard models have a base price listed. If a standard model is not available in the store, please phone me to place a custom order. Currently I am filling orders within a two-month time frame. I have a good inventory of heat treated blades awaiting handles and finishing which allows me to process orders relatively quickly.

Materials which stray from the base price may add to your overall price. Once you have decided on the materials for your knife you will be quoted a price. Please keep in mind that if I have to special order something that is not in stock it will likely add to the delivery time of your knife. Prices do not include but are subject to Wisconsin state sales tax. Orders shipped out of state are not subject to Wisconsin sales tax.

On certain custom orders I may require a minimum down payment of 50% of the purchase price. I will notify you as I am nearing completion of your order and you can send the balance due. For the final payment I accept certified checks or money orders. You may also pay with a personal check which will require 10 days to clear. Visa and Master Card also accepted.

Shipping and Delivery

There is a flat rate of $10.00 per knife if you wish to have your knife shipped. I ship via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail. You may also pick your knife up at my studio or I can deliver it to you in person at a show.

Guarantee / Warranty

If the knife you ordered does not meet your expectations when received or you feel it was mis-representated in the picture or description you may return it in sell-able, unused condition within one week for a refund.

Your knife is guaranteed for defects in workmanship for life. This warranty does not cover natural handle materials such as antler or wood. You must treat your knife with respect – it is not a prying tool or throwing knife. If I determine that a defect is due to neglect or abuse, we will both try to come to some fair agreement on repair or replacement. Your sheath is guaranteed for defects in workmanship for one year from date of purchase. Bring your knife to my studio for free lifetime sharpening. Read and follow your Knife Care Sheet carefully.
